Fresh Meadows, NY, August 5, 2021–Data Conversion Laboratory (DCL), a leader in structured data and content transformations, has been certified for ISO/IEC 27001:2013, an international standard for managing information and data security. ISO certification is provided by an accredited certification body after a comprehensive audit is completed to confirm the conformity of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) with the documented International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards.

ISO 27001 is the global benchmark for effective and secure management of information assets. The certification is the result of an independent, expert assessment as to whether DCL data are sufficiently protected and attests to the fact that DCL has invested in the people, processes, and technology (e.g., tools and systems) necessary to protect organizational data. The certification process resulted in a full suite of DCL documentation and best practices as well as a framework for continualimprovement that provides a blueprint to minimize risks, both to DCL’s own IT systems and sensitive customer data. This framework has been employed successfully on many occasions to great effect at DCL.

During the audit process, DCL’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) demonstrated overall conformity with the requirements of the standard and its commitment to continuous improvement of its Information Security Management System (ISMS). The ISO/IEC is an independent, non-governmental international organization that brings together experts to share knowledge and develop international standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global technology challenges.
