PRESS RELEASE
Data Conversion Laboratory Announces Harmonizer 5.0 Software with AI-Powered NLP for Efficient and Accurate Analysis of Large Document Collections
Streamline Content Analysis and Eliminate Duplication Across Multiple File Formats Including MSOffice, PDFs, HTML, and XML

Fresh Meadows, NY, April 17, 2023Data Conversion Laboratory (DCL), an industry leader in structured data and content transformations, today announces the release of Harmonizer 5.0 with newly added analysis of PowerPoint and Excel documents. Harmonizer is a software application that analyzes documents across an entire collection using natural language processing (NLP) to provide insights on content redundancy, content inconsistencies, and content structure improvements. The latest version of Harmonizer now provides native support for PowerPoint and Excel files, which means the entire Microsoft suite of applications can be examined to report on where an organization can consolidate duplicative content and ensure editorial consistency in multiple applications.

Harmonizer users discover that often 50% of text in a document collection is repetitive. Lean content collections improve the consistency of an organization’s brand and communication while ensuring all business units operate with unified source content. Harmonizer empowers users to navigate massive content collections to eliminate errors and outdated terminology.

DCL has developed extensive artificial intelligence (AI) training sets over the decades and consequently, the algorithms in Harmonizer process text not only faster but also with deeper intelligence and accuracy. Harmonizer provides the ability to upload any mix of supported file formats—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, Text, HTML, DITA, S1000D, XML, InDesign, FrameMaker. When organizations strive to streamline content management, identifying content redundancies is critical for success. DCL customers use Harmonizer as the first step in content analysis when preparing for a migration to a Component Content Management System (CCMS), adopting DITA as a content structure standard, or implementing another content structure format. Harmonizer plays a key role in evaluating the effectiveness of a reuse-based content strategy and illuminating terminology and style standards across a content collection.

“Harmonizer continues to evolve into an even more powerful tool that organizations use in many ways,” explains Christopher Hill, Product Manager at DCL. “With the inclusion of PowerPoint and Excel document analysis, organizations now have a 360-degree view of their content practices and can base decisions on meaningful metrics.”

Harmonizer is available via different licensing models that support various use cases, budgets, and workflows. Schedule a demo today to learn more and see Harmonizer in action.
