PRESS RELEASE
Diagnosing the Content Challenges for Life Sciences Content Producers
Data Conversion Laboratory and The Rockley Group launch second annual survey on content challenges in the life sciences and healthcare

Fresh Meadows, NY, Jan. 8, 2015 – Nowhere is the quality and accuracy of information more important than where public health and safety, and individual lives are at risk. Content providers in the fast-moving life sciences and healthcare markets face unique challenges—from technology, regulatory, and customer/patient experience perspectives—that the Second Annual Content Challenges in the Life Sciences and Healthcare Survey aims to uncover. Conducted by Data Conversion Laboratory (DCL) and The Rockley Group (TRG), the survey will focus on how creating, managing, and delivering content in this sector happens now and how it will change as new standards, regulation, and tools emerge.

The first survey, conducted in early 2014, found content providers were concerned about minimizing inaccuracies, keeping up with regulatory requirements for information sharing, and managing their content across multiple channels and formats. "The pace of change, and the volume of content managed, hasn’t slowed down one bit over the past year," said Mark Gross, President of DCL. "It’s critical to understand how the landscape is evolving in order to develop the tools and processes to help content providers cope."

"We saw content professionals identify inaccuracies across channels and multiple formats as their biggest concerns last year. We hope to learn more about how providers make use of intelligent content best practices to manage their overall effort," said Ann Rockley, founder and CEO of The Rockley Group. "But just as important, we want to learn more about what new issues are appearing that we’ll need to address."

DCL and TRG fielded the survey in conjunction with their joint webinar "Demystifying SPL for Medical Devices," which took place on January 7, 2015, from 1 to 2 pm (ET). The survey is scheduled to close at the end of February.
